Montreal Moments

hf-mtl5By Caroline Tapp-McDougall

Homefront’s editors spent a couple of days checking out Montreal last month. From festivals and special arts events to riding the La Grande Roue Ferris wheel and wandering down the cobblestone streets of the old city at twilight, we just love the city’s joie de vivre.

Our advice: Start with the Notre-Dame Basilica. Its stained glass portrays the city’s history. Then, satisfy your inner bartender with a mixology course at Ateliers & Saveurs or try a tasting workshop at the Chocolate Academy. Feeling adventurous? See the fabulous Leonard Cohen mural during a tailored tour on two wheels. Or hang-ten like a surfing pro at Maeva Surf one day and put the pedal to the metal the next at Vortex Racing—North America’s first racing simulation centre. Read on to find out where to stay, eat and visit, and check out homefrontmagazine.ca for more ideas.
