When it comes to entertaining, few places in the world can match Las Vegas. And even in that city, the Wynn Las Vegas stands out with a dazzling array of signature restaurants, a world-class spa, an 18-hole golf course, a theatre with the amazing Le Rêve show, and even a Ferrari and Maserati dealership.
Sinatra’s wine
At the end of a full day of testing Phantoms and Ghosts, we had some more trials to carry out on the Wynn and on Rolls-Royce. This time they were of the culinary kind, and were led by Mark Thomas, the Wynn’s director of wine. Ruling over a cellar of 70,000 bottles of choice wines, Thomas arranged a tasting in Sinatra Restaurant’s private room. Ol’ Blue Eyes would have been pleased.
Lakeside Restaurant’s Chef David Walzog has championed an “ocean-to-table” program that involves a group of Hawaiian fishermen handpicked by Chef Walzog. Their daily catch lands in his kitchen the very next morning. Lakeside’s open-air dining, with its views of Wynn Las Vegas’s romantic Lake of Dreams, makes the dining experience an evening to remember.
Taste tests
A tasting menu of some of the finest samples of beef from certified sources—including US Prime, Aussie, Ohmi, Wagyu and the original Kobe—posed only one challenge: which one to have seconds of. What a treat!
And, of course, the Wynn Las Vegas has a fabulous fleet of Rolls-Royce limousines that is available for their guests. A very nice way to see Vegas in style!
